In a series of significant developments, President Droupadi Murmu’s planned visit to Himachal Pradesh from May 5 to May 9 has been postponed. The reason for the change in schedule has not yet been officially disclosed.

In another notable move on the international front, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided not to attend Russia’s Victory Day Parade, despite an invitation from the Kremlin. The annual event, held on May 9, commemorates the Soviet victory in World War II and is often attended by international dignitaries. PM Modi’s absence is seen as a diplomatic signal amid ongoing geopolitical tensions.

Meanwhile, in a bold decision, India has imposed a ban on the Instagram and YouTube channels of several prominent Pakistani celebrities. Those affected include well-known figures such as Mahira Khan, Hania Aamir, Ali Zafar, and Sanam Saeed.

Additionally, major Pakistani entertainment networks—Hum TV, ARY Digital, and Geo TV—have also been blocked in India. The move reportedly comes in the wake of heightened bilateral tensions, although an official government statement is yet to clarify the exact reasons for the ban.

These decisions reflect a complex blend of domestic scheduling changes, international diplomacy, and regional security concerns, all unfolding simultaneously on India’s national and global stage.
