Pakistan Attempts Midnight Missile Strike on Punjab Air Base; Indian Army Foils Massive Attack Along LoC

In a major escalation, Pakistan attempted a high-speed missile strike on an Indian Air Force base in Punjab at around 1:40 AM, according to official defence sources. The missile attack, however, was successfully intercepted and neutralized by India’s advanced air defence systems.

Colonel Sophia Qureshi confirmed that this was part of a larger coordinated offensive by Pakistan involving multiple drones, long-range weapons, and armed aircraft targeting various locations near the Line of Control (LoC). “Our forces responded swiftly and effectively. All incoming threats were neutralized, and no damage was reported,” she stated.

The Indian Army’s surveillance systems detected unusual aerial movement just before the attack. Immediate countermeasures were deployed, ensuring that the missile did not reach its intended target. The attempted attack was followed by heavy drone activity, which too was foiled by Indian forces stationed along the border.

Colonel Qureshi praised the alertness and efficiency of the defence personnel, adding that this was a clear attempt by Pakistan to provoke and destabilize peace in the region. “Our forces are fully prepared and will continue to defend every inch of our territory,” she said.

This comes at a time of increased tension between the two nations, following recent ceasefire violations and misinformation campaigns by Pakistan. Indian defence officials have reiterated that any aggression will be met with a strong and immediate response.

The Ministry of Defence is closely monitoring the situation and remains in a high state of alert.
