In a dramatic political turn, Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) patriarch Lalu Prasad Yadav, has issued a heartfelt public message to his parents days after being expelled from the party. The message, posted on social media, reflects his emotional distress and calls out unnamed individuals whom he accuses of creating division within the family and the party.

Referring to his parents, Lalu Prasad and former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi, as his “whole world” and “greater than God,” Tej Pratap pleaded for understanding and unity, saying, “Dear Mummy and Papa, I have never disrespected you. Please trust your son once again.”

His expulsion from the RJD on May 25 came after a controversial post from his social media account claimed a 12-year relationship with a woman named Anushka Yadav. Tej Pratap later claimed his account had been hacked and disowned the statement. However, the party leadership considered his actions a violation of discipline and expelled him for six years.

In his message, Tej Pratap blamed “Jaichands” — a reference to historical betrayers — within the RJD for misleading the family and engineering his political isolation. He did not name anyone specifically but hinted that internal conspiracies were at play.

The development has sparked a fresh political and personal crisis within the Yadav family, which has long been a dominant force in Bihar politics. It also comes amid increasing speculation about leadership struggles within the RJD, as Tejashwi Yadav, the younger son, continues to consolidate his position within the party.

The future political course of Tej Pratap Yadav remains uncertain, but his message indicates he is not ready to quit the political stage — or his family — just yet.
