BJP MLA from Goshamahal, T. Raja Singh, has created political ripples by daring his party leadership to suspend him, warning that he would expose deep-rooted corruption and secret dealings within the party if such action is taken.
The controversy erupted after Raja Singh claimed the BJP high command was preparing to take disciplinary action against him following his outspoken remarks during the recent election campaign. Speaking to the media, he said, “If you have the guts, suspend me. Once I’m out, I’ll reveal who is really destroying the party from within.”
He alleged that several BJP leaders were holding backdoor meetings with leaders of the ruling Congress and former BRS members, accusing them of “pawning the party for better deals.” He further claimed that “thieves within the party” have united and are prioritizing personal gain over party principles.
Raja Singh, known for his hardline stance, did not hold back in criticizing the dominance of select groups within the party, claiming grassroots workers were being ignored while self-serving leaders rose through the ranks.
This isn’t his first brush with party leadership. He was suspended in 2022 for controversial remarks and reinstated in 2023, but has since continued to challenge the party’s internal decisions.
Adding to the tension, Singh recently revealed he received threatening calls after making statements against cow slaughter ahead of an upcoming festival. Following this, the Hyderabad police issued him a security advisory, instructing him to use a bulletproof vehicle in high-risk areas.
The party has yet to issue an official response, but the episode has triggered fresh debate within political circles, with growing speculation over how the BJP will handle this open defiance from one of its most outspoken members.
