Indian Ministry of Defence

In a disturbing development, the Indian Ministry of Defence has released official footage showing a targeted attack by the Pakistani Army on the revered Shambhu Temple and nearby civilian settlements in Jammu. The visuals show intense shelling and damage caused in the early hours, sparking outrage across the nation.

According to defence sources, the attack was carried out using heavy artillery and drone-assisted targeting, deliberately aiming at civilian infrastructure and religious sites. The Shambhu Temple, a centuries-old place of worship, sustained structural damage, though no casualties have been reported so far. Nearby homes and public buildings also faced damage from the shelling.

“This act is not just a violation of the ceasefire agreement, but an open attack on culture, peace, and humanity,” said a Defence Ministry spokesperson. “Targeting civilian areas and religious sites reveals the desperation and inhuman tactics of the enemy.”

The Indian Army responded swiftly, launching counter-strikes on Pakistani posts responsible for the attack. Intelligence reports indicate that these actions were part of a larger escalation plan from across the border.

Political and religious leaders condemned the attack, calling it a cowardly attempt to disturb harmony. Security has been tightened around religious places and border towns, while relief teams have been deployed to assist affected civilians.

The Defence Ministry stated that it would raise the issue at the international level and emphasized that the Indian Armed Forces are fully prepared to counter any further aggression.
