AICC General Secretary Jairam Ramesh revealed that certain Congress leaders had spoken against the government’s actions and the ongoing war. These remarks were reportedly being picked up and promoted by Pakistan’s media, further fueling tensions. In response to this, Rahul Gandhi and Kharge have instructed all party leaders to refrain from making public statements on the issue.
The Pahalgam terror attack, which led to the death of 26 tourists, continues to dominate discussions in political circles, with leaders from various parties offering their views. Congress now seeks to avoid any further fallout and keep the focus on national unity and security.
