In a major security operation, seven Pakistani terrorists were gunned down by the Border Security Force (BSF) while attempting to infiltrate the International Border in Samba district, Jammu and Kashmir, early this morning. The terrorists were attempting to cross into India when they came under heavy fire from the BSF.

The infiltration attempt occurred near the Dhandhar area, where BSF personnel were on high alert following intelligence reports of a possible attack. The BSF successfully thwarted the operation, killing all seven terrorists in a gunbattle that lasted for several minutes. In retaliation, the BSF targeted a Pakistani border post at Dhandhar, damaging the infrastructure used by the terrorists to cross the border.

“The terrorists were attempting to infiltrate into India with the help of Pakistani border posts. Our forces reacted swiftly, neutralizing the infiltrators,” said a BSF spokesperson. The bodies of the terrorists have been recovered, and investigations are underway to determine their affiliations.

This operation is part of a series of security measures undertaken by India in the wake of escalating tensions along the Line of Control (LoC) and the International Border with Pakistan. The BSF has tightened security in the region to prevent future infiltration attempts.

The attack and its swift neutralization are seen as a significant victory for the Indian security forces, which have been on high alert since the recent surge in cross-border terrorism. The operation underscores India’s firm stance against terrorism and its commitment to defending its borders against hostile actions.

Local authorities have issued a high alert in the Jammu region following the encounter. Security has been enhanced across the district as the situation continues to evolve. No casualties have been reported from the Indian side.

The Pakistani government has not yet commented on the incident, but India has reiterated its resolve to ensure that such attempts to breach its borders will not succeed.
