In a heartbreaking development, Indian Army jawan Murali Naik, a native of Andhra Pradesh, was martyred in unprovoked firing by Pakistani forces along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.
Murali Naik hailed from Kallithanda village in Gorantla Mandal of Sri Sathya Sai district. The brave soldier lost his life while serving the nation in a forward area near the LoC. According to sources, he succumbed to injuries caused during heavy shelling by Pakistani troops.
News of his martyrdom has plunged his village into deep sorrow. Relatives, friends, and neighbors are mourning the loss of a courageous young man who laid down his life for the country. The Indian Army has confirmed that Naik’s mortal remains will be flown to his native village, where he will be accorded full military honors during his last rites on May 10.
