Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Monday formally launched the Indira Sauragiri Jal Vikasam scheme in Macharam village, Amrabad mandal, under the Mannanoor ITDA limits in Nagarkurnool district.
The scheme, a key initiative aimed at empowering tribal communities, will provide solar-powered irrigation systems to tribal farmers. As part of the launch, the CM distributed solar pump sets to beneficiaries, ensuring sustainable access to water for farming.
In a major boost to tribal land ownership, CM Revanth Reddy announced that his government has granted land titles to 2.30 lakh Scheduled Tribe farmers, covering a total area of 6.69 lakh acres across the state. These titles were issued under the Forest Rights Act, marking a milestone in land rights recognition for tribal communities.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to rural development, clean energy, and inclusive growth.
