In a significant development within the political landscape of Telangana, RS Praveen Kumar has been appointed as the General Secretary of the BRS party, as announced by the party’s leader, KCR. This decision has been met with enthusiasm among supporters of the BRS party, marking a potential shift in its leadership structure.
KCR, the prominent figure at the helm of the BRS party, expressed optimism about the appointment, hailing it as good news for the party’s loyalists. He further revealed plans to overhaul the party’s organizational framework, emphasizing the imminent formation of new committees as part of the restructuring process.

Addressing the issue of party members who have departed, KCR made it clear that efforts to reenlist them will not be pursued. Despite acknowledging the loss of one Member of Parliament (MP) and one Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), KCR reassured supporters that such setbacks would not detrimentally affect the party. Instead, he underscored the necessity of injecting fresh, youthful leadership into the party ranks.
Looking ahead to the next electoral cycle, KCR articulated ambitious goals for the BRS party. With the impending restructuring initiatives in place, he outlined the objective of securing 100 seats in the forthcoming elections, underscoring the party’s determination to expand its political footprint in the state.
In a symbolic gesture, KCR bestowed upon himself the moniker “Sriya Phule,” a name that resonates with the ideological ethos of the BRS party. This announcement came alongside the naming of Akinepalli Shirisha and Praveen Kumar’s second daughter, hailing from the Hujurabad constituency in Karimnagar district, as Sriya Phule.
The appointment of RS Praveen Kumar as General Secretary, coupled with KCR’s strategic vision for the party’s future, signals a transformative phase for the BRS party as it gears up for the electoral challenges ahead. With a renewed focus on rejuvenation and expansion, the BRS party appears poised to make significant strides in Telangana’s political landscape.
