Anganwadi workers in the joint district are facing a tough time as their salaries remain unpaid even at the end of the month. The delay in receiving their wages has put them in financial distress, making it difficult for them to make ends meet.
Expressing their plight, one anganwadi worker stated, “We are facing many difficulties due to the non-payment of wages. It’s becoming increasingly challenging to manage our household expenses and fulfill our basic needs.”
The workers are now turning to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, urging the government to fulfill its promise of paying Rs. 18,000 to anganwadi workers if the Congress party comes to power. They emphasize that timely payment of salaries is crucial for their livelihoods and well-being.
This delay in salary disbursement not only affects the workers but also impacts the services provided by anganwadis to children and mothers in the community. The workers play a vital role in providing nutrition, healthcare, and early childhood education to underprivileged families, and any disruption in their payments directly hampers these essential services.
The situation highlights the need for prompt action from the government to address the concerns of anganwadi workers and ensure timely payment of their salaries. Failure to do so not only violates their rights as workers but also undermines the government’s commitment to supporting the welfare of vulnerable populations.
As anganwadi workers continue to wait anxiously for their overdue salaries, they hope that their voices will be heard, and necessary steps will be taken to resolve the issue promptly.
