Asaduddin Owaisi Welcomes Indian Army’s Strikes on Pakistan, Calls for Destruction of Terror Camps

Asaduddin Owaisi,

Asaduddin Owaisi, the leader of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM), expressed his strong support for India’s Operation Sindoor, which targeted terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The operation was launched by the Indian Army in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, in which 26 civilians lost their lives.

In a tweet shared on Wednesday, Owaisi welcomed the strikes, stating, “We welcome the Indian Army’s attacks on Pakistan. Pakistan must be taught a proper lesson to prevent another terror attack like Pahalgam.”

He further emphasized the need for decisive action, saying, “All terror camps in Pakistan must be completely destroyed,” and concluded his message with “Jai Hind,” signaling his support for India’s defense forces.

Owaisi’s tweet reflects the broader sentiment in India following the successful execution of Operation Sindoor, which struck nine terrorist sites. The operation is seen as a firm response to cross-border terrorism and a major blow to terror outfits like Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba, which have been linked to multiple attacks on Indian soil.

Owaisi’s statement aligns with the calls from various political leaders and citizens for strong action against Pakistan-based terror camps. His comments were echoed by many who support India’s firm stance on national security and counter-terrorism efforts.

The Indian government has made it clear that it will continue to take strong and decisive measures to ensure the safety and security of its citizens, particularly in the face of persistent terror threats from across the border.

Following the strikes, Pakistan condemned the operation, with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif calling it an “act of war.” However, no immediate military retaliation was reported. Pakistan has sought international support and raised the matter at the United Nations.

With tensions rising, global leaders have urged both India and Pakistan to exercise restraint and avoid further escalation of hostilities.

As the situation develops, all eyes will be on the diplomatic and military responses from both nations in the coming days.
