BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi) Working President and former Telangana Minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) arrived in Dallas on Sunday as part of his multi-city visit to the United States, aimed at engaging with the Indian diaspora and highlighting Telangana’s development story on the global stage.
KTR was warmly welcomed at the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport by enthusiastic supporters and members of the local BRS NRI wing, who gathered with Telangana flags and traditional performances.
As part of his visit, KTR is scheduled to take part in the BRS Party’s silver jubilee celebrations, marking 25 years since the party’s formation. The celebrations coincide with the Telangana State Formation Day, commemorating the state’s establishment on June 2, 2014, after a long struggle for statehood.
Speaking briefly to the media upon arrival, KTR expressed his gratitude for the support of the NRI community. “Our overseas supporters have always played a key role in promoting Telangana’s growth model and raising the state’s profile internationally. I look forward to celebrating this historic milestone with our community in Dallas,” he said.
During his U.S. trip, KTR is also expected to hold meetings with business leaders, tech entrepreneurs, and investors to explore avenues for collaboration and attract investment to Telangana.
The visit underscores the BRS party’s ongoing efforts to maintain strong ties with the global Telugu diaspora and showcase the state’s progress in sectors such as IT, infrastructure, and innovation.
The celebrations in Dallas are expected to draw thousands of attendees from across the U.S., with cultural performances, panel discussions, and a showcase of Telangana’s achievements since its formation.
