Following a tragic accident during the Simhadri Appanna Swamy Chandanotsavam, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has announced compensation for the victims. In a teleconference with ministers and senior officials, the CM ordered a payment of Rs. 25 lakhs to the families of those who lost their lives and Rs. 3 lakhs to those who were injured in the incident.
The Chandanotsavam, an important religious event, turned tragic as the accident claimed lives and left several others hurt. The government has expressed its deep condolences to the victims’ families and is working on providing assistance to the injured.
