Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan made bold remarks on Thursday, stating that the country should not rely on celebrities for expressions of patriotism. Instead, he said, India needs sincere and committed individuals like Murali Naik.
“Don’t expect patriotism from celebrities. The country needs true patriots like Murali Naik — people who serve without seeking fame,” Pawan Kalyan asserted while addressing a public gathering.
He also took aim at Pakistan, accusing the neighboring country of encouraging terrorism out of jealousy. “Pakistan is envious of India’s progress. It cannot tolerate our development, which is why it promotes terrorism,” he said.
The comments sparked discussion across political and social circles, drawing both support and criticism.
