Drones Spotted Over Kutch, Gujarat Imposes Blackout Amid Border Tensions

In a major security development, Gujarat Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi confirmed that several unidentified drones were spotted in the Kutch district on Friday night. The sightings prompted authorities to enforce a complete blackout in the region as a precautionary measure.

Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Sanghavi posted: “Several drones have been spotted in the Kutch district. A complete blackout will be implemented.”

The move comes amid heightened India-Pakistan tensions, especially after recent ceasefire violations by Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian Armed Forces are currently on high alert across all border states, including Gujarat, which shares a long and sensitive international border with Pakistan.

Local police and Border Security Force (BSF) personnel have intensified surveillance operations and are coordinating with defense authorities to track and neutralize any aerial threats. Drone sightings in border areas have increasingly become a national security concern, often linked to smuggling operations or surveillance attempts.

No damage or casualties have been reported so far, but residents in the region have been advised to stay indoors and avoid spreading rumors.

The situation is being closely monitored by security agencies, and an official statement from the Ministry of Defence is expected soon.
