Harish Rao Criticizes Revanth Reddy for Ignoring Farmers’ Struggles

HARISH

Former Minister and MLA Harish Rao has strongly criticized Revanth Reddy, accusing him of neglecting the real issues facing the state’s farmers while focusing on glamorous events.

In a scathing statement, Harish Rao claimed that Revanth Reddy has been more concerned with beauty pageants than the livelihoods of Telangana’s farmers. “Revanth Reddy is leaving heaps of harvested paddy exposed to the elements, while he spends his time attending beauty contests,” Rao said.

Rao continued, alleging that the Congress leader is prioritizing superficial concerns over the real challenges of agriculture in the region. “He’s spending time doing reviews for beauty contests, even going as far as having stray dogs removed and killed so they don’t interfere with the events. But when it comes to reviewing the struggles of the farmers who feed our nation, he has no time at all.”

Rao also accused Revanth Reddy of misdirecting state resources. “Thousands of police officers and government officials have been assigned to make sure the beauty contests run smoothly, while the farmers’ problems are ignored,” he said.

The comments reflect growing tensions between Telangana’s political leaders, especially as the state gears up for upcoming elections. Farmers in the region have long struggled with issues like water scarcity, crop failures, and insufficient support, leading to widespread protests and demands for better attention from the government.

Revanth Reddy has yet to respond to the allegations, but his critics continue to voice concerns over his priorities and his handling of key state issues.
