In response to growing regional tensions and internal security threats, a high-level meeting is currently underway at the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in New Delhi. The meeting is being attended by key officials, including the Home Secretary, and chiefs of the NSG (National Security Guard), CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force), BSF (Border Security Force), and Assam Rifles.
Sources indicate that the meeting aims to review the current security situation across the country, especially in sensitive regions. This development follows intelligence reports suggesting heightened activity and anxiety on the Pakistani side, with diplomatic and internal responses signaling unease.
As part of intensified security operations, over 2,500 local individuals and overground workers have been taken into custody from various parts of the country. These individuals are suspected of having ties to unlawful activities or acting as facilitators for extremist groups.
In addition to the mass detentions, more than 250 suspects have been formally detained for interrogation. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken possession of all available video evidence, which is expected to play a key role in the ongoing investigation.
Officials say the situation is being closely monitored, and further operations are likely as the government works to strengthen national security and prevent any cross-border or internal threats.
