Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has made a statement following India’s launch of Operation Sindoor, which targeted nine terrorist sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Dar condemned the Indian military action, labeling it an “act of war” and warning of potential retaliation if the situation escalates further.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Dar emphasized that while Pakistan has no intention of initiating any conflict, it will not remain silent in the face of Indian aggression. He remarked, “We will not reveal when and where we will act in India,” indicating Pakistan’s preparedness to respond to India’s military actions, though he stressed the importance of exercising restraint.
Dar further underscored the longstanding tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors, stating that Pakistan is committed to defending its sovereignty and territorial integrity. He added that the situation in the region is extremely sensitive and cautioned that any further military escalation would have dire consequences.
The comments from Dar came in response to India’s precision strikes on terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan, which was carried out in retaliation for the deadly Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 civilians.
