Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar experienced a minor mishap on Tuesday when he lost balance and fell while getting off a bicycle during a public event.
The incident occurred while he was participating in a cycle rally organized to promote eco-friendly transport and raise awareness about environmental issues. As he attempted to dismount the bicycle at the end of the event, he lost his footing and slipped, falling to the ground in front of the gathered crowd and media.
Security personnel and aides rushed to assist him immediately. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and Shivakumar quickly regained his composure. He later addressed the media with a smile, downplaying the incident and assuring everyone that he was completely fine.
The Deputy CM’s participation in the event was part of the state’s broader campaign to encourage sustainable living and reduce carbon emissions.
The video of the fall has since gone viral on social media, with many praising Shivakumar for continuing the event undeterred, while others expressed concern and sent well wishes for his safety.
