Nehru Zoo Park to Launch Tiger Glass Enclosure and Other Exciting Attractions

Nehru Zoo Park

Visitors to Hyderabad’s Nehru Zoological Park will soon enjoy thrilling new attractions, including the opportunity to take a selfie with a white tiger—safely. The zoo is set to unveil a state-of-the-art “Tiger Glass Enclosure,” bringing people up close to the majestic animals without compromising safety.

This new enclosure, inspired by similar designs in Gujarat’s wildlife parks, will be the first of its kind in Telangana. It promises a unique experience, especially for wildlife lovers and photographers.

Dr. Sunil S. Hiremath, Director of State Zoological Parks, stated, “Around 30,000 people visit the zoo daily. With the addition of these new features, we expect the number to rise to nearly 50,000.”

New Attractions in the Works

Among the zoo’s upcoming highlights is a massive underwater tunnel aquarium, covering one acre. This tunnel will allow visitors to walk beneath marine life and view sea creatures from all angles.

Plans also include an aviary housing both domestic and exotic birds, a 9D virtual reality center offering immersive wildlife experiences, and mirror rooms for lions and tigers, enhancing visitor interaction while keeping the animals and guests safe.

All projects will be developed under a public-private partnership (PPP) model to ensure efficiency and innovation.

Second Zoo Park Approved for Hyderabad

In response to the city’s growing population and demand for green spaces, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has approved 200 acres of land in Mutcharla for the development of a second zoo. This move is expected to ease crowding at Nehru Zoo and offer more opportunities for conservation and education.

With these upgrades, Nehru Zoological Park is set to become one of the most advanced and engaging wildlife attractions in the country.
