ACB Raids Suryapet DSP Office in Alleged Bribery Case

Bribery Case

In a significant anti-corruption operation, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) raided the office of Suryapet DSP Parthasarathy and Suryapet CI Veera Raghavulu after a complaint was filed against them for allegedly demanding a bribe in a medical case.

The victim, seeking a resolution for a medical dispute, claimed that the officers demanded a bribe of Rs 25 lakhs to settle the matter. After negotiations, the bribe was reduced to Rs 16 lakhs, which the victim agreed to pay.

However, suspicious of the illegal demand, the victim reported the matter to the ACB. Acting on the complaint, ACB officials carried out raids at the homes and offices of both officers. Investigations have confirmed that both the Suryapet DSP and CI were involved in the extortion.

The ACB has taken Parthasarathy and Veera Raghavulu into custody and is continuing its investigation. During the raids, officials seized evidence pointing to the officers’ involvement in the illegal act. This incident has raised concerns over corruption within the police force and calls for greater accountability in law enforcement.

The ACB has assured that strict action will be taken against the guilty officials. Further details regarding the investigation and any additional charges will be made public soon.
