In a powerful display of patriotism and social responsibility, renowned content creator Bhuvan Bam and Bollywood actress Preity Zinta have made significant donations in support of Indian defense personnel and their families, following the recent Operation Sindoor in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.
Bhuvan Bam, who rose to fame through his YouTube channel “BB Ki Vines,” has donated his entire earnings from a recent brand partnership to the National Defense Front (NDF) — a body dedicated to supporting the families of Indian soldiers. This noble gesture comes as part of his ongoing efforts to contribute meaningfully to national causes. In 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 crisis, Bam had also donated his YouTube revenue to help victims of the pandemic.
“Soldiers protect our borders without asking anything in return. The least I can do is stand by their families in times of need,” Bam shared in a social media post.
Joining him in a similarly heartfelt gesture, actress and IPL team co-owner Preity Zinta has donated ₹1.10 crore to the Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) under the Indian Army’s South Western Command. Her contribution is aimed at supporting the education of soldiers’ children and the welfare of Veer Naris (war widows).
“India is in safe hands because of the bravery and sacrifice of our soldiers. This is a small token of gratitude towards their families,” Zinta stated, while saluting the courage of the armed forces.
Both donations come at a time when public sentiment is heavily focused on honoring the Armed Forces after the Pahalgam attack and the government’s swift military response through Operation Sindoor.
With their timely acts of generosity, Bhuvan Bam and Preity Zinta have not only provided crucial financial support but also set an inspiring example of how public figures can use their platforms to make a meaningful impact.
