CM Revanth Reddy’s Photo for ₹1600: Government Offices Instructed to Display Portraits

CM Revanth Reddy

In a recent development, government offices across the state have been instructed to display portraits of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The state government has issued an official order mandating that a framed photograph of the Chief Minister, sized 20×24 inches, be placed in all government offices. This directive is in line with the government’s move to standardize the display of CM’s images in public offices.

Following these instructions, some mandal (regional) officials have started collecting ₹1600 for each portrait. Panchayat secretaries have been informed to make the payment and collect the framed photographs. According to reports, this issue has caused a buzz among panchayat secretary groups, with the payment request being circulated widely on WhatsApp.

Many secretaries are said to be complying with the orders silently due to instructions from higher authorities, even though there is growing discomfort over the compulsory payment. The collection of funds for the CM’s portrait has raised questions among some local officials and government employees, but no official clarification has yet been made.

This situation has stirred discussions on whether such payments should be mandatory, and how the funds collected are being used. As the matter continues to gain attention, local leaders and government employees await further instructions or clarifications from the government regarding the implementation of this directive.
