A heated political exchange has erupted in Telangana, with BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) issuing a stern warning to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy over his recent remarks targeting former CM K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR).
Addressing a public meeting, KTR said, “I’m warning you for the last time, Revanth Reddy. If you personally abuse KCR again, I’ll rip your tongue out.” His remarks drew loud reactions from the crowd and have since sparked intense discussion across political and media circles.
KTR accused Revanth Reddy of crossing the line with his repeated personal attacks on KCR, who is also KTR’s father and the founding leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). “Criticize policies if you want, but personal insults against our leader will not be tolerated,” KTR added.
The strong words come amid increasing tension between the ruling Congress and opposition BRS in the run-up to key local elections. Political observers note that the aggressive tone is reflective of the rising pressure on both sides to rally their support bases.
Revanth Reddy has not officially responded to the warning yet, though Congress leaders have previously defended his comments as part of political speech.
With tensions running high, this war of words is expected to further intensify the political atmosphere in Telangana in the coming weeks.
